"This site is destined to grow. It is heavily organized into different sections of the music industry. The site is a great way to meet new contacts in specific areas of the field. With a little time and energy from hopefully bands such as ours and many others in the field the site will absolutely grow into a HUGE network. I find myself continually checking back for updates on who has added a profile and where everyone is from. The design is very forum oriented which is definitely geared towards personal connections and getting to exactly who and what your looking for." -TwentyThirtyRock
The website offers a vast and flexible profiling system for almost every aspect of the music industry; including musicians, bands, fans, venues, booking agents, managers, legal professionals, promoters, engineers, label reps, retail establishments and festivals. LiveAudioMag's web system will allow users to access any and all aspects of the profile at one time. Top rated members, songs, stories and events are pushed to the front page for maximum visibility. Free membership is available to the general public upon email registration. All content is freely visible to the public, can be sorted by zip code and radius and members can post in any category.
Music Industry Directory
Welcome to LiveAudioMag.com
LiveAudiomag.com is a free directory for the music industry. The flexible profile sections of the user account is designed so that you can choose any or all of the categories. It was designed this way because we know that most people in the music industry wear more than one hat. For example, and audio engineer that plays the drums, or a label rep that plays sax and owns a small music store. Just fill out the sections that apply to you- any sections you leave blank are left off of your profile. Searching for members is easy to do via the quick sort navigation under the "Members" tab or from the quick links at the bottom of the page. Every user gets their own special URL; "http://liveaudiomag.com/username".
Audio Players and Jukeboxes
The profile allows for users to upload multiple songs (MP3) into their own jukebox and one song into a featured player. The multiple jukebox provides embed codes for you or anyone else who would like to embed your player in a web-page or blog. The featured player allows other users to add you to their favorites player. Each user gets a player to collect their favorite artists from around the website. Should you change your featured song, you as an artist remain in their favs player and your song is all that changes. This allows you to change up the feature and keep your fans interested in any new or different material.
Top Rated Content
Other content can also be rated and the content that is most popular gets published to the front page. Top 10 favorites represents the top ten artists who have been added to the most users accounts, the top ten rated members (culmination of points), top rated reviews and news. Membership to the website is free via email registration. You can even invite your fans and friends to join so that they can vote for you and get you exposure on the front page. The most basic profile is set to "fan" and you don't have to be in the music industry at all to sign up.
Events Calendar
The events calendar is nationwide and can be sorted by both zip code and radius. This is a powerful feature for sorting and locating events either in your area or while you are away from home. Google maps are embedded right on the page for easy navigation.
Navigation
After you log in, you can use the "user controls" drop down menu in the top right to edit and view your profile, navigate directly to content you've contributed and find your favorites player. At any time, anywhere on the website you can click a users name (including your own) to go directly to that user's profile. This is especially helpful if you are reading an article of news or a review and you would like to know more about the person - just one click and you are on their profile. If you'd like to see more of the content produced by that user, use the left-hand profile navigation to quickly sort all of their reviews, news and events. By default all content is viewed as nationwide by the user. However, if you'd like to sort any of the content by location, you can "Set Location" via the top horizontal navigation.
