The Get Down! Festival Sept 4th 2009
There's a new music festival in town! "The Get Down!" or commonly being referred to as "TGD" is headed for it's first opening season this year - on Labor Day Weekend, 2009. These are the best festivals, small start-ups that have that intimate feeling and some of the best regional acts around.
TGD is being produced by Viavant Productions, a veteran booking and artist agency out of Raleigh. So you can imagine they've got some great bands and enough connections to produce a funtastic weekend for everyone. There's a little twist that I'm really looking forward to; besides the usual camping, vendors and stages, TGD has got it's own Frisbee Golf course planned out! I can tell already, I'm gonna be exhausted by the end of the weekend.
If you have any interest, you better watch the website for the tickets release, cause there gonna go and I'd put my money on them selling out.

The artist lineup has just been released and here it is:

* The Mantras (2 Nights!)
